hi everyone, this is the album turns out I was NOT happy about they reissued it :-)(and me buying)
Being classix (Awareness & Pure Dynamite) one thinks he can pursue Buddy Terry in his search for the holy grail...alas, this is the CD I SHOULDN'T have bought :-(
But, who am I to deprive you from sounds like these?
So, Hallelujah, judge for your selves and (if possible) enjoy :-)
peace, E-mile

Man, you're tellin' me that Buddy blew it on this one? Wearing that fine dashiki and ecverything? I will have to check it out ASAP.

But you're obviously the Buddy Terry pro around here, so thanks for the forewarning, E-mile!

Yeah this is not like his other ones. Despite what you think (and the presence of DeeDee Bridgewater) it's mostly pretty straight-forward gospel/soul. Not bad, mind you, but not Awareness or Pure Dynamite, e-mile is right. Amen. :)

Very disappointing. I don't mind gospel bur I take issue at his playing. He was into some "smooth jazz" trip obviously. Crap! I'd rather listen to Grover Washington, same period.
Thanks for posting it, it will save us a few dollars/Euro/pounds ...
Cheers Mate,
